Programs are primarily held outdoors. In case of inclement weather, staff will move programs inside when possible, or cancel/reschedule if necessary. Program staff will contact you within 90 minutes of program start time in the event of a weather-related cancellation.
Explore
Students explore native plants and habitats in our restored Blackland Prairies, riparian areas next to the Comal Springs and river, and rain water ponds on an educator-led nature hike.
Hands-on Experiences
Students engage in age appropriate hands-on field experiences like water testing, macro invertebrate observations, and experimenting with watershed and stream table models, or a nature book storytime for younger students.
Science Journal
Older students will have a science journal to document their work and take home to continue their learning in nature.
Support Classroom Learning
Your field trip can include service learning opportunities, art projects, and/or science activities to support classroom learning and TEKS.

We can accommodate up to 50 students and are happy to accommodate larger groups over multiple days.
