Headwaters at the Comal has limited ability to provide open air covered pavilion space for meetings and events. Please contact us to find out more about how we can accommodate your group’s need for a nature-oriented community gathering space.

When Phase II is completed, public amenities will include a central courtyard; event lawn; display gardens; walking trails; outdoor classrooms; natural springs overlook; wastewater treatment wetlands; composting facilities; and more.

Photography Policy

Informal, amateur photography is welcome and encouraged during your visit! Please be courteous of other visitors while taking photographs.

Commercial/event/professional photography is available by reservation only and requires a permit. This includes photography shoots that use: tripods, reflectors, costumes, or clothing changes. All participants must purchase admission to the Headwaters.

We require all photographers and their parties follow the same rules we require of all visitors. Participants must stay on paths in order to preserve the natural plant and wildlife found at the headwaters.

Permits are available to Headwaters at the Comal Members only. One time permits may be purchased for $25 per shoot.
