Without the tremendous support of volunteers, our operations and programming would not be possible.
No experience is necessary to volunteer at Headwaters at the Comal. Training will be provided for all incoming volunteers. Whether you want to help lead programming, assist with seeding and invasive plant removal, or just be a friendly face to welcome and direct visitors, we could use your help.
Volunteer duties include, but aren’t limited to:
- Assisting with programming on topics including biology, ecology, conservation, health & wellness, art and music for both Youth and Adult Audiences.
- Conducting tours and talks covering a wide range of topics including native plants and wildlife, archaeology, history, ecology, conservation, geography, geology and many more.
- Greeting and welcoming visitors to the Headwaters and letting them know about our mission.
- Assisting with planting, invasive removal, and site maintenance during our weekly work days.
