Archaeology Update for the Week of October 16
RAIN RAIN GO AWAY, COME AGAIN SOME OTHER DAY!
It rained heavily on Monday, and all of our excavation blocks were flooded. We hope that the features we uncovered last week were not damaged too badly, but we cannot tell until the weather clears up and we can get some more robust coverings for the blocks. Until then, we are limiting access to the blocks to minimize any additional disturbances to the soil, and are waiting for the mud pit to dry out.
