Youth Summer Science Series: Owl Pellets
Thursday, July 18 7:00 – 8:00 p.m.

Owls are birds of prey, which means they hunt the animals they eat. After an owl eats the small rodents, birds, and bugs that are part of its nightly diet, its stomach cannot digest the fur, bones, teeth, feathers, and insect shells from that food. These “extra” parts are formed into a tight pellet inside the owl and are later spit up. Our scientists will have the opportunity to examine the inside of their owl pellet!

Sponsored in partnership with the McKenna Children’s Museum.

Youth Summer Science Series: Rocks Matter!
