Explore
Students explore native plants and habitats in our restored Blackland Prairies, riparian areas next to the Comal Springs and river, and rain water ponds on an educator-led nature hike.

Hands-on Experiences
Students engage in age appropriate hands-on field experiences like water testing, macro invertebrate observations, and experimenting with watershed and stream table models, or a nature book storytime for younger students.

Science Journal
Older students will have a science journal to document their work and take home to continue their learning in nature.

Support Classroom Learning
Your field trip can include service learning opportunities, art projects, and/or science activities to support classroom learning and TEKS.

During construction of our new building, programs are held completely outside and are weather dependent. In case of inclement weather, staff will move programs inside a warehouse when possible, or cancel/reschedule if necessary. Program staff will contact you within 90 minutes of program start time in the event of a weather-related cancellation.
